What caused you to get into pet sitting/dog walking?
After spending 10 years engineering and building Blackhawk helicopters I decided I just wasn't happy with what I was doing and wanted something else. I knew that pet sitting was the best option for me.
What is the most fulfilling part of owning a pet sitting/dog walking business?
Spending all of my days with dogs and cats is way more fulfilling than sitting in meetings all day and dealing with angry bosses and deadlines!
What is the most challenging?
The most challenging aspect would be trying to please as many people as you can but not get overwhelmed or overbooked at the same time.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
It's been 2 1/2 years so far and I just hired my first employee. I'm looking to bring on a second very soon. Five years from now I can see High 5 doing mobile grooming, full-time dog training and anywhere from 4 to 5 employees pet sitting around the city.
What has Time To Pet changed the most about how you run your business?
Time to Pet has helped me in so many ways but most of all in saving my time which is extremely valuable. Not having to generate invoices on my own and to have everything as visible and clear as it is in the scheduler really makes things run smoothly.
