Running a successful daycare business is no small feat in the world of pet care. It takes drive, determination, and a strong love for animals to provide a safe and fulfilling environment where pet parents feel comfortable leaving their beloved fur babies for extended periods of time while they’re at work or running errands. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce you to our customer, Jessica, who embodies these qualities in every interaction she has with the clients and pups at Zoomies Dog Daycare, part of Sniffers Pet Agency.

Operating out of Sutton Coldfield, England, Jessica and her experienced team run a daycare focused on prioritizing outdoor time, socialization, and offering inclusive and diverse care that welcomes all dog breeds. What caused you to get into the pet care industry, specifically running a dog daycare?

I’ve been in the pet care industry for nearly 19 years now, so it’s something that’s grown with me over time rather than a sudden decision. I started out with dog walking and quickly realized there was a real demand for reliable, structured care during the day. As my client base grew, so did the need for a safe, enriching space where dogs could socialize, exercise, and be properly cared for while their owners were at work. That’s what led me into running a dog daycare – creating something that felt more like a second home for the dogs, rather than just a service.

What is the most fulfilling part of owning a dog daycare business?

The most fulfilling part is seeing the difference it makes to both the dogs and their owners. Watching nervous dogs grow in confidence, seeing them form friendships, and knowing they’re genuinely excited to come in each day is incredibly rewarding. On the client side, it’s being able to give people peace of mind – knowing their dogs are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re busy with life. That trust means everything.

What is the most challenging part of owning a dog daycare business?

The biggest challenge is balancing everything behind the scenes. People often see the fun side – the dogs, the play, the photos – but running a daycare involves staffing, compliance, safety, customer service, scheduling, and constant problem-solving. Managing all of that while maintaining high standards of care every single day can be demanding, but it’s also what makes the business what it is.

Where do you see your business in 5 years?

Over the next five years, I see the business continuing to evolve and grow, whether that’s through expansion, refining systems, or even transitioning ownership to the right person who can take it to the next level. I’ve built a strong foundation with loyal clients, structured systems, and a great team, so the future is really about scaling that success and creating long-term sustainability.

What has Time To Pet changed the most about how you run your business?

Time To Pet has completely streamlined the operational side of the business. It’s taken away a lot of the manual admin that used to take up so much time – bookings, schedules, client communication – and brought everything into one place. That’s allowed me to focus more on the actual service and less on chasing paperwork or messages.

What’s your favorite feature in Time To Pet’s daycare and boarding software?

My favorite feature is how everything integrates in one system – especially the scheduling and client management. Being able to easily track bookings, manage staff, and communicate with clients all in one place has made a huge difference to efficiency and organization.
